Amazed at how the years have flown and how old we all are!

Our God knows...

Over a year ago, we choose to say yes to walking the path of adopting Sophia. We spent alot of time asking God why in terms of timing in our life...but we kept moving ahead. This week has been one where we are more and more aware that God knows the whys. The situation that Georgia finds itself in with Russia has been something we cannot get our thoughts away from. We are so thankful that our adoption was finalized and that as we watch the reports, she is in our arms. We asked God why last year and are praising him for showing us again that He has a plan for our lives. His plan for Sophia was that she is home with us. Our wonderful friends in Georgia, who fostered Sophia and helped us with the adoption are safe but have left the capital city to a village a few hours away. They have said they are scared. Please pray for our dear friends.

We just returned from a week at the Potomac River at our wonderful Aunt Ellie's house. It was a great week to disconnect and be together for our first family vacation. Ben and Jesse ended the week by driving to Myrtle Beach for his 3rd grade teacher's wedding. He loved Ms. Hosner and was thrilled when he was invited. Ben was great and did the 8 hour drive with him! Jesse even got a few surfing lessons from the groom! We are off again this week to be a part of my brother Jimmy's wedding. After that we are just excited to be home and begin the journey of the year before us.

Summer with Capernaum has been wonderful. We had two camps that we ran/participated in and they both were full of amazing friends and fun. Ultimatley they were full of the truth that all of us were made for a purpose, even with a visible disability or the hidden ones we all have! We are so thankful that we have the gift of be a part of this amazing ministry!

We are so blessed!
